Richie McCaw's Visit

Everybody was very excited when our principal, Miss Hepworth, told us a secret that she had been keeping for a week. Richie McCaw was coming to visit us! He came and talked to us in our assembly hall, then went out to the field where he coached our rugby players in a variety of games. What an honour! And what fun! It was a very exciting day and Richie was such a nice, friendly man. He told us a lot about his role as All Blacvk captain and some of the funny things that happen with the team. Go, Richie! Go the All Blacks.

Oakura Room 8 Nursery

We're greenies here at Oakura. We have our own nursery where we grow hundreds of native plants which we plant out around our school and in our local environment. We all really enjoy working in the nursery, although the weeding can be a bit boring.
